Tucked between mountains and lakes in the heart of Queenstown, Rātā Dining captures the essence of the South, where nature shapes the rhythm of life and every season brings something new to the table. For over a decade, we’ve celebrated the quiet beauty of New Zealand dining: produce-led, grounded in the land and sea, and crafted with care.

Our name comes from the native rātā tree, which blooms brilliantly in rugged alpine terrain. It stands for resilience, balance and renewal, values that continue to shape who we are and how we cook. Like the tree, we’ve grown deep roots here, evolving with the seasons yet remaining true to where we began.

At Rātā, we follow nature’s lead, working closely with local growers and farmers and often foraging ourselves to bring the region’s wild ingredients to the table. Each dish tells a story of place, honest, expressive and full of soul.
